Philosophy

At Valley Vista School we nurture the love for learning. We offer an environment that focuses on the individual child's self esteem, social awareness and self-concept. All of our programs are carefully designed to provide children with both active and quiet periods throughout the day.

Admission Policy

We welcome children from all faiths, races, and cultures. They must be three by December 2 and toilet trained. We are licensed for 94 students. We have 3 classes of 3 year olds, 2 classes of 4 year olds and 1 class of pre-kindergarten. (Birthday before Feb. 28) There is one teacher and one aide per class. Please contact us about our waiting list. You may add your child to our waiting list with no obligation.

Staff

All of our teachers are dedicated and qualified professionals. Our teachers have acquired the necessary educational courses in Early Childhood Development and are ECE Qualified. Professional affiliations: CCRC, SCAEYC, NAEYC.

Programs at Valley Vista School

We are open from 7:30 A.M. to 6:00 P.M. and offer flexible afternoon care. The morning program for 3 year olds is from 9:00 A.M. to 11:45 A.M. The morning program for the 4 year olds is from 8:45 A.M. to Noon. Both programs are five days a week.

Our well rounded curriculum is designed to include: large and small motor skills, language, math and science.

We offer: Roughhousing, Creativity, Music, Cooking, Story Time and Share.

We also have Parent-Teacher Conferences, Birthdays, and Holiday Parties during the year.

Health Requirements

California has a "No Shots, No School" policy that requires parents of new entrants to present a written medical vaccination record which includes the dates of all required vaccinations: 3 Polio, 4 DTP/DT, 3 Hepatitis B, plus 1 MMR and 1 Hib (both of these given on or after the first birthday).

We have a medical release form that allows us to obtain emergency care, first aid, administer children's Tylenol, and apply sun-block. There is also a form a parent must fill out if we are to give medications during the day. One teacher administers all medications and keeps records.
